Staff at an Ipswich care home are celebrating today after their facility came top of the pile in a relatives’ survey carried out by its parent organisation.
The survey into Care UK’s 107 homes gave family members the chance to rate the friendliness and approachability of staff, the variety of food, cleanliness and the overall quality of care.
The results saw Suffolk rated as the best region in the country. And the Hawthorn Drive Care Home, in Ipswich, was rated as the provider’s best home.
Manager of the home, Beverly Gilbert, said: “To hear that Hawthorn Drive has been rated as the best Care UK home in the country is truly overwhelming and definitely a cause for celebration.”
Meanwhile, officials at Hawthorn Drive have said their residents are now looking forward to the future of their care home, as the facility prepares to move its operations to Asterbury Place in Chantry – which is scheduled to officially open next summer.
