Ipswich: Traffic misery in town caused by roadworks

Hundreds of motorists were caught up in traffic in Ipswich this morning because of temporary traffic lights and an inappropriately parked vehicle.
Temporary traffic lights are currently in place Vernon Street, on the junction with Wherstead Road, Norwich Road, Fore Hamlet, Felixstowe Road and Bixley Road for telecommunications work.
An inappropriately parked vehicle also caused problems for motorists travelling along Wherstead Road this morning.
Police were called to find the driver of the vehicle shortly after 8am and it was removed at 8.30am.
