The obstacle course in Trinity Park was open to everyone - with fancy dress encouraged - to walk, jog or run as fast as they could in the name of charity.
The fun run was organised and in support of EACH, which is committed to supporting children in the region who need access to hospices, support for families and help for those with life-threatening conditions.

Outdoor activity specialist Go Ape! even offered a £60 voucher to the best dressed runner at the event on Saturday, September 8.
Those willing to brave the inflatable obstacles took on potholes and giant slides before crossing the finishing line.

Helen Chapman, EACH Suffolk fundraising manager, said: “It went really well, everyone had a great time and there was a real family-friendly atmosphere.
“We thought beforehand about what would bring the family together and the adults were having more fun than the children.”

Yet despite costumes such as Batman and Superman, Ms Chapman said the 200 participants and 20 volunteers were the real heroes - because they helped to raise money for EACH’s life-saving services.
The event was inspired by Henry Barnard, aged five - a user of The Treehouse in Ipswich who has a rare genetic neuromuscular condition called spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), which robs him of the ability to crawl, stand, walk or run, so he uses a wheelchair for mobility.

His mother Claire said The Treehouse had been hugely helpful in boosting his confidence and ability to express himself, giving him what she described as “crucial emotional support”.
She said: “We know first-hand how crucial the services are that EACH can provide a child and their family.

“It’s been a lifeline for us and we’re so grateful to everyone who raises money for, supports and donates to this fantastic service.
“Fundraising for EACH goes directly to an outstanding local service that benefits an entire family in need of support.”
