A 47-year-old Ipswich woman with more than 140 previous offences has admitted threatening behaviour after a family row on New Year’s Eve.

Teresa Dale, of Wherstead Road, pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place outside her mother’s home in Stowmarket, when she appeared before Ipswich magistrates.

Prosecutor Colette Harper said police were called at 10.15pm to an incident in Violet Close involving a drunk female.

Dale had arrived earlier at her mother’s address and an argument had broken out in the property.

When police arrived Dale was outside the premises and constantly swearing.

The court was told Dale had 142 previous offences on record.

Dale, representing herself, admitted she had been drunk and had got into an argument with her younger brother who had thrown her out of the house.

Magistrates fined her £35 and ordered her to pay costs of £25 and £20 to the victims’ fund.
