An Ipswich man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary after an incident at a Woodbridge home.
The 25-year-old was arrested yesterday after the incident in Bilney Road on June 3. At around 11pm, a woman in her 20s heard a knock at the door. She went to the door and moments later a man “barged his way in to the property, with a knife in his hand”, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
The woman and her partner managed to get the offender out of the house and he made off.
The force spokesman said: “The 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday as police continue their enquiries into what happened.
“He is currently in custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he is being interviewed by detectives.”
