A young woman was assaulted and robbed in Ipswich early this morning.
The 18-year-old victim was walking along Lloyds Avenue at about 4.30am when a man walking towards her assaulted her, grabbed her mobile phone and took some money. The woman was reported to have suffered “reddening to the face” in the assault.
Police are keen to speak to a taxi driver who drove after the robber but did not return afterwards.
The offender is described as a black man, approximately 5ft 2in tall, with very short black hair. He is thought to be in his mid to late twenties and was wearing a black hooded top, dark coloured jeans and black trainers.
