COASTGUARDS were scrambled to Bawdsey Manor after reports a nine-year-old boy had gone missing on a beach.
The incident, which was reported at around 7.35pm on Saturday, was attended by Shingle Street Coastguard, Harwich Inshore Lifeboat, the Suffolk police helicopter and an ambulance.
The boy, who had been missing for nearly one hour, was located within 15 minutes by Shingle Street Coastguards.
He was found safe and well on the beach. The call had been made by his mother.
