SUFFOLK cat Peanuts is hoping to be top dog at an awards ceremony now he has been nominated as Rescue Cat of the Year.

Peanuts was rehomed last year with his brother Biscuit by Joan Payne for her severely disabled children Christine and David.

His laidback temperament has made him perfect therapy for the children and has made a real difference to the Aldeburgh family's lives.

The awards ceremony organised by the Cat's Protection League takes place in London on February 13.
