A SUFFOLK kebab shop worker accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old schoolgirl has told a court that she tried to seduce him after telling him she was 16.

Giving evidence on the second day of his trial at Ipswich Crown Court Yunes Pinar claimed that several months before the alleged sexual assault the teenager had come into Zorba's kebab shop in Framlingham where he worked and told him it was her birthday.

He said the girl told him she was 16 and he denied seeing her wearing badges with the number “15” on.

He said the girl had been a regular visitor to the shop and some of her friends had told him she fancied him.

In March this year he had problems getting internet access on his computer and the girl and some of her friends had gone to his flat to help him.

He claimed that the girl had stayed behind after her friends left but had left with them when they returned to get her.

Later that evening he claimed she had let herself back into his house and had told him she wanted him to kiss her and have sex with her.

He said he told her he didn't want to have sex with her but she had sat on his lap and had then lifted up her top and exposed her breasts.

He said the girl had wrapped her legs round his waist and again told him she wanted to have sex with him. “I felt I was being seduced and then I started wanting it as well,” he said.

Pinar claimed he and the girl had then started mutually kissing and touching each other but he had then felt disloyal to his girlfriend in Turkey and had pushed the girl away. “I said get dressed and go but she didn't want to go,” he said.

He said he pushed the girl away and she had slipped and hit her arm on the wall. He had later felt bad about pushing her and had texted her to apologise.

Pinar, 22, of Fore Street, Framlingham, has denied two offences of sexual activity with a child, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault.

Giving evidence the girl denied that she was infatuated with Pinar and had a crush on him.

She denied going to his flat with the aim of getting intimate with him. “I didn't ask him for any of it. It all happened to me,” she said.

The trial continues today (Wed).
