TODAY The Evening Star joins the battle about the future of Ipswich Regent with the simple message: Leave our Co-op Juniors alone!
In the past fortnight this newspaper has been the vehicle for debate on the future of the Juniors and their Christmas spectaculars.
The issue was raised after senior Ipswich political figures – so far un-named – decided to "test the water" to see if the Juniors could be prised from the hugely-important Christmas slot.
We listened to the debate, we've pondered on the arguments – and now it's our turn to enter the fray and to comment on one of the hottest Ipswich and Suffolk issues for a long time!
And we say: Leave the Juniors in their traditional Christmas slot.
