Three robbers threatened a man with a knife in Ipswich before stealing his watch.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by three men around 12.30pm yesterday as he walked along Norwich Road, near the junction of Benezet Street.

The culprits asked the man for the time before pulling him into an alcove in Gaye Street, police said.

They then threatened him with a knife and ordered him to give them his watch, which he did.

The first man is described as black, around 5ft 9ins tall, skinny and was wearing dark clothing including a hoody-style jumper and tracksuit bottoms. He was carrying a silver draw-string bag and a small bag across his body.

The second man is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall and slim. He was wearing a black puffa-style jacket and a black baseball cap.

The third man is also described as white.

All three suspects are believed to be 17 or 18 years old.
