A LAMPPOST has been flattened after it was struck by a car in Ipswich today.
The accident, which involved a Renault Clio, took place in Valley Road near to the junction with Westwood Avenue at around 7.23am.
The driver was taken to Ipswich hospital as a precaution.
The road was not blocked.
A police spokesman said Ipswich Borough Council had been notified.
