Rail operator 'one' said it expected the delays to last until the end of service.
A limited train service is running but there have been cancellations and alterations as all trains are having to run over one set of track.
Trains are currently unable to call at Ingatestone.
Trains during the peak time tomorrow are also expected to be disrupted with only a limited service in operation.
