Whether you loved it or hated it as a child, there was no getting out of sports day, but did you take part at this event in Felixstowe in 1993?
An annual fixture in the school calendar, sports day would see all pupils taking part in a range of track and field events, competing against their peers.
Some years it would be a chance to enjoy some time out of the classroom in the sunshine while you watched your friends compete, but for these schools in Felixstowe in 1993 the pupils were not so lucky.
It was a wet and rainy day in July but that didn’t deter the children from competing against each other.
While many schools will host their own sports days, this event brought together pupils from the town’s primaries, who went head to head in the games - all wanting to be crowned winners.
