STRONG winds have forced the closure of the Port of Felixstowe today and lorry drivers have been warned operations are not likely to resume until tomorrow.
The weather conditions led to a back-log of lorries waiting to unload containers at the port and prompted warnings from police for lorry drivers to avoid the area.
The drivers were asked to find somewhere to stop until tomorrow morning when it was hoped the port would reopen.
