FANCY cruising through Suffolk in a top-of-the-range Mercedes Sport?

Or would champagne tea in the plush surroundings of London's Rubens at the Palace Hotel be more to your taste?

These two fabulous lots are among dozens which will go under the hammer at a special charity auction in Ipswich on Friday.

A hot-air balloon ride, a dinner party for ten, gym membership, signed Ipswich Town shirts and footballs, and a “Lotus Experience” at Silverstone race circuit are also up for grabs.

The proceeds from the auction, which starts at 7.30pm, will go directly to the Somebody's Daughter appeal, launched to tackle drug addiction and prostitution in Ipswich.

Staged at Ipswich School in Henley Road, tickets for the event are priced at just £10 and include a top-notch buffet, provided by JLS Catering.

Auction organiser Emma Brown, of Fonnereau Road, Ipswich, promised a special evening.

“There are some fantastic lots on offer,” she said.

“The Mercedes Sport, generously donated by Mercedes of Ipswich, is available for an entire weekend and I'm sure it will be one of the most sought-after items.”
