A 63-year-old Ipswich man has been charged with sexual assault and burglary following an incident at a property in Nacton on Friday night.
A man reportedly entered the home of an older woman around 7.55pm and assaulted her before she screamed and he fled.
Robert Jennings, 63, of Shackleton Road, was arrested yesterday, and he was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed by officers.
He has now been charged with sexual assault and burglary and is being detained in custody overnight pending an appearance at Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
