A MAN charged in connection with the stabbing of a police officer in an incident near Ipswich town centre appeared before Ipswich Crown Court today.Christopher Andrews, 42, of Christchurch Street, Ipswich, is charged with wounding 29-year-old Pc Tony Adams with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in the early hours of February 20.
A MAN charged in connection with the stabbing of a police officer in an incident near Ipswich town centre appeared before Ipswich Crown Court today.
Christopher Andrews, 42, of Christchurch Street, Ipswich, is charged with wounding 29-year-old Pc Tony Adams with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in the early hours of February 20.
Today Andrews spoke only to answer his name in a five minute preliminary hearing before Judge Peter Thompson.
The case was adjourned for a plea and direction hearing on May 3 and Andrews was released on unconditional bail.
