A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of concealment of a birth, after the discovery of a dead baby in Bury St Edmunds. Suffolk police are today investigating after the body of a new born baby was found in the West Road area of the town on Saturday morning.
A MAN arrested on suspicion of concealment of a birth after the discovery of a dead baby in Bury St Edmunds has been bailed.
The body of a new born baby was found in the West Road area of the town on Saturday morning and a 42-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested shortly afterwards.
He was later bailed pending further enquiries until August 16.
A woman, believed to be the mother, is receiving medical treatment at West Suffolk Hospital.
A post mortem examination is due to take place next week.
