A man arrested on suspicion of the manslaughter of a woman in Ipswich will not be charged.

The suspect was detained in connection with the death of Helen Scoines, who died as a result of a crash in Bramford Road, Ipswich, near the junction with Sproughton Road, at around 11.10pm on October 6 last year.

After the crash a 46-year-old man was arrested and questioned by police before released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Natalie Doughty, a spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary, said the investigation has now concluded and the man involved has been told he will face no further action.

Helen Scoines, 48, of Lone Barn Court, Ipswich was travelling in a white Vauxhall Combo van when it collided with a wall and traffic lights.

She died at the scene.
