Police have arrested a man in Ipswich after reports of a burglary in the town.

Officers were called to an address on Queenscliffe Road in the town at approximately 9:20am on Monday, 23 October, following reports of a burglary in progress.

Officers quickly attended the scene and located a suspect nearby.

A 23-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of burglary and take to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for members of the public who may have information relating to this incident to contact Ipswich CID on 101, quoting reference 68962/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
