SUFFOLK Police are today appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted as he walked through Newmarket with a group of friends.
The 23-year-old victim was walking down Welling Street at 9.30pm on Sunday when he felt a blow to the head.
He was knocked to the ground and suffered cuts and bruises in the attack.
