A man charged with a series of driving charges is to appear before Ipswich magistrates this morning following a fail-to-stop collision on the A12 in September in which a woman was injured.
The 20-year-old, from London, is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court from 9.40am today, where he will be charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop following a road traffic collision, driving with no licence, driving with no insurance and assault following a collision on the A12 between Capel St Mary and East Bergholt.
The accident took place at around 7.50am on Saturday, September 5 and involved a recovery truck being in collision with a BMW car.
The female driver of the BMW sustained a head injury and whiplash injuries to her neck and back in the collision and she was taken to Ipswich hospital for treatment.
The recovery truck did not remain at the scene and an appeal was made to trace the driver.
