A MAN from Suffolk has died after being crushed by a bulldozer.The accident happened at around 5pm on Wednesday at the Tyttenhanger Landfill Site in Coursers Road, Colney Heath, near St Albans in Hertfordshire.
A MAN from Suffolk has died after being crushed by a bulldozer.
The accident happened at around 5pm on Wednesday at the Tyttenhanger Landfill Site in Coursers Road, Colney Heath, near St Albans in Hertfordshire.
Two fire crews from St Albans attended the scene along with a rescue support unit from Hatfield - but their assistance was not required.
The man, yet to be identified but who is believed to be aged 41 and from Suffolk, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The Health and Safety Executive confirmed that they were carrying out an investigation into the incident in conjunction with the police.
An inquest is due to be opened on Monday.
