AN elderly driver died today after a road accident in Ipswich.Police were called to a three-car accident in Colchester Road on Sunday afternoon.The driver of a Volvo car was taken to hospital, but later died.

Police were called to a three-car accident in Colchester Road on Sunday afternoon.
The driver of a Volvo car was taken to hospital, but later died. Police believe he may have suffered a heart attack before the accident.
The driver of a Vauxhall was trapped for a short time and was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The accident closed the busy road around the north of the town for more than an hour as traffic was leaving after the football match at Portman Road.
