A man has been detained on suspicion of drink-driving after a van crashed into traffic lights in Ipswich.
Police were called at 4.10am to reports of a single-vehicle collision in the St Margarets/Great Colman Street area of town.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said a white Renault Panel van had collided into a set of traffic lights.
The man was treated by ambulance staff at the scene before being taken to Ipswich Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
He was then detained by police on suspicion of drink-driving.
