A MAN is fighting for his life in Ipswich Hospital today after suffering severe chest injuries after becoming trapped in a van. The man, who has not been named, was the driver of a white Corsa van which was in a collision in Pretty Lane, in Theberton, near Leiston.
A MAN is fighting for his life in Ipswich Hospital today after suffering severe chest injuries after becoming trapped in a van.
The man, who has not been named, was the driver of a white Corsa van which was in a collision in Pretty Lane, in Theberton, near Leiston. No other vehicle was involved.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 7.30am and fire crews from Saxmundham, Leiston and Ipswich released the man from the van.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “The vehicle left the road and ended up in a ditch. The man was airlifted to Ipswich hospital. His injuries are believed to be serious and possibly life threatening.”
