A 25-year-old man from Ipswich has appeared before magistrates after being charged with two robberies in the town.
Alex Buckle, of London Road, was arrested in connection with the incidents which both occurred on September 19.
The first incident took place around 9.15pm in Vernon Street where a 27-year-old man was assaulted and had his iPhone 5 stolen.
The second robbery occurred later the same evening in Tyler Street at 9.30pm, where a 26-year-old man was also assaulted and had £3.50 stolen from him. Buckle appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court earlier today (December 21), where he was remanded in custody pending a first appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on January 5 next year.
