WHILE some have called them 'Baby Busted', no one can deny that the four lads from McFly have taken the pop world by storm.

And today it was announced the awesome foursome of Harry, Tom, Dougie and Danny will visit Christchurch Park on Friday, July 16.

The boys have just celebrated their first number one with their catchy debut single - '5 Colours in Her Hair' - which topped the charts for two weeks, and by the time they strut their stuff on stage in Ipswich they will have released their second musical offering.

The connections with Busted are numerous. McFly are label-mates with them at Universal Records and their up-tempo guitar based pop also resembles the spiky-haired Busted boys.

Event promoter, John Hessenthaler said: "They have supported Busted on their arena tour, but this is the next step up for McFly."

"Along with the event in Christchurch Park, they are also doing two further gigs supporting Busted that weekend."

"It's fair to say the boys are very excited about coming to Ipswich. They have performed to large crowds, but this will certainly be one of the biggest."

He added: "As the new single is out in June, people should be able to sing along to that as well as their recent number one."

The band will appear on stage for about 40 minutes and will perform material from their debut album which is due for release in July.

A few tickets, priced £25.50, are still available for the event, which kicks off at 7.30pm. If you are interested, call the box office on 0870 2255163, 0870 2255164 or 0870 2255165.
