Royal Navy and Royal Marines chefs cooked up a real challenge when they hosted a competition at West Suffolk College to find the regions most promising young chefs.

A Suffolk College team, consisting of John Cardwell, Charlotte Filby, Emma Cassidy and Gemma Turpin, travelled to Bury St Edmunds college to compete. It was worth the effort.

The Ipswich based team beat their rivals with a delicious menu to bring home the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Challenge Cup.

Head of the hospitality and catering centre, Christine Howard commented: "This is another superb example of the dedication and achievements of Suffolk colleges students and staff. Well done."
