MODELS took to the catwalk and strutted their stuff for a fundraising fashion show.

Pupils from Thomas Wolsey School struck a pose at the St Nicholas Centre in Ipswich to raise money for new playground equipment.

The school, for children with moderate to severe physical and learning difficulties, is due to merge with Thurleston High School later this year.

The money raised from the show will be vital in providing new equipment for the children.

All the pupils chose five different outfits for the show which included the themes of sports, famous people and styles throughout the decades.

They also gave an exclusive showing of their own collections made entirely from recycled materials.

Sarah Swallow helped organise the show with teacher, Sarah Stott, and her husband's company, Swallow Financial Planning, sponsored the event.

Mrs Swallow's daughter Alice, 16, also took part as a model.

“The show was absolutely fantastic,” Mrs Swallow said. “Alice and everyone else really enjoyed themselves.

“We sold 85 tickets and it's a pity even more people couldn't have come along to see it.

“It was quite humbling to see the children grinning from ear to ear and loving the whole experience.”
