The black Volvo hit the side of a block of flats on Papyrus Road in Werrington.
A nine-year-old boy was treated for minor injuries.
The driver and the boy are both from Peterborough.
The accident happened at 9am on Saturday.
Structural engineers were called in to examine the building.
