THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead with at least one stab wound.

At 3.30am on Wednesday police found the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, dead inside a house in Salisbury Road, Ipswich.

The number of times he had been stabbed is not yet known and police say this information will not be disclosed until a post-mortem is carried out.

An ambulance was called to the scene shortly after the discovery but the man was already dead.

Jason Gillingham, a clinical field operations manager for the ambulance service, said: " We received a call at 3.33am requesting an ambulance and we arrived on the scene three minutes later.

"We responded to reports that a male patient had been stabbed a few times.

"On arrival the crew found that the patient was deceased and they left the scene 45 minutes later."

A 25-year-old man and two women have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are being held at separate police stations across the county.

The man is currently being held at Bury St Edmunds police station while a 26-year-old woman is held in Ipswich and a 36-year-old woman is held in Felixstowe.

It is as yet unknown whether the man who died lived at the address he was found at and further details about him will not be released until his family has been informed of his death.
