WATCH out, Dave Hazel's about!

The Trimley man became the first person to receive a new Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch Association award after his untiring commitment to the scheme.

Mr Hazel, of Mill Close, Trimley St Martin, has always played a very active role within the community and was instrumental in setting up the SNWA and forming partnerships with the Suffolk Constabulary.

Throughout his working life, Mr Hazel juggled a demanding job as a docker at Felixstowe port with many other positions of responsibility within the community.

He was a member of the local Crime Prevention panel, chairman of the Suffolk Association, and representative of the National Neighbourhood Watch Association.

Mr. Hazel's award was presented by Andy Garrard, chairman of the SNWA, who said: "He has absolute enjoyment and belief in Neighbourhood Watch."
