THOUSANDS of NHS workers are to strike in protest at a “derisory” pay deal, it has been announced.
Unite members, including ambulance staff, paramedics and mental health nurses voted for industrial action which will start before Christmas, although it has not yet been decided what form the action will take.
Some 77,000 workers took part and there was a 3-1 vote in favour of action, with more than half calling for walkouts.
