TWO members of Suffolk Fire Service who were suspended following allegations of rape and sex abuse have been told they will face no further police action.
A 32-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both from Felixstowe, were questioned by police over the historic allegations.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of engaging in a sexual act in the presence of an under-16-year-old while the man was arrested on suspicion of rape.
The allegations which were being investigated by the police dated back several years.
Both were suspended by Suffolk Fire Service. They were bailed to return to Ipswich police station yesterdaywhere they were told they would face no further action.
A spokesman for Suffolk County Council said that the council had not yet received formal notification from the police and so both were still under suspension.
