Plenty of fun and food was had at Murrayfield Primary School in Ipswich when pupils dressed up for a medieval banquet in 1984.
These pictures, taken by one of our photographers on the day, show the many pupils who dressed up for the event.
There was certainly no effort spared in creating the homemade costumes and hats and the children look as though they thoroughly enjoyed the chance to feast on some medieval delicacies, with the banquet including chicken drumsticks while pupils drank from chalices.
One pupil also played a medieval trumpet for his peers as part of the day of activities.
