A NURSERY school and day care centre has been praised for its “outstanding levels of care” for the youngsters that attend its sessions.
The Gambrelle Nursery School in Wickham Market achieved the top grade of outstanding - meaning exceptionally high quality provision - in nine of the categories in which it was inspected by Ofsted.
In the other three sections it was awarded good, indicating strong provision.
Day care centre owner Claire Chapman said she was delighted with the grades.
“It doesn't mean we stand still - in fact, quite the opposite as we are doing all we can to improve further both at our Wickham Market centre and also our new centre in Framlingham,” she said.
Thirty-six children aged two to five attend sessions at the centre in High Street, which is open five days a week from 7.30am to 6pm.
The centre has a secure outdoor play area, soft play area, sensory play equipment, computers, pets, open play areas, quiet rooms, and sleeping area.
In her report, Ofsted inspector Sarah Johnson said the youngsters were making positive progress in their learning development.
“Children are highly confident, independent and clearly enjoy their time at the nursery,” she said.
