AN Ipswich off-licence was closed for much of today after its staff were threatened by knife-wielding raiders.
Police were today still searching for the raiders who struck at Unwins in Woodbridge Road East late last night.
They threatened a shop assistant with a knife before getting away with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
The crime happened between 9.20pm and 9.35pm yesterday, when it is believed only the off-licence and Wongs Chinese takeaway next door were open for business in the parade of shops.
The two raiders were both white. One was about 6ft, aged in his late teens or early 20s. He wore blue jeans, a dark jacket and had a spotty complexion. The other was thought to be younger.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Dc John Grant on 01473 613500.
