Ipswich-based holiday administrator Olga Pissareva is preparing to take a leap of faith for the East Anglian Air Ambulance – from a plane over Suffolk.

She works at Ipswich-based Fred Olsen Cruise Lines and is appealing for sponsors to help raise the £350 needed for the jump.

The Guest Services Mobility Advisor will jump out of a plane, while strapped to an instructor, at Beccles Airfield, Suffolk.

Olga described the plunge as: “The craziest, bravest, most adventurous thing in my life. I fully expect to come to work the following Monday with very sore throat, but I think this will be so worth it!”

Her charity jump will involve a 40-second free fall, descending at the speed of 120mph, followed by around six minutes of parachuting.

Since the EAAA was launched in 2000, the charity has attended over 20,000 life-saving missions, which amounts to about 1,176 a year! It costs £3,500 to attend each mission.
