The Oyster Community Press community interest company is launching a series of taster workshops for those looking to try their hand at printmaking.
The Tower Street Print Project, run by Oyster, will open its doors on June 8 where budding printers can find out about different printing techniques, as well as being able to experiment with colour, form and shape under the guidance of accomplished artists.
The sessions will be held at 17 Tower Street after the company acquired space there, having previously run on a pop-up basis.
The space means the company can hold year-round projects and workshops.
Oyster Community Press is currently exhibiting its latest work, My Place, in the Whistler Gallery at DanceEast, created by artists who had just seven half-day workshops to get up to speed with the discipline.
To find out more about the workshops or to sign up for a workshop email Oyster Press here or call 07990 553662.
