TWO men are today due to appear before magistrates following an assault on a 61-year-old man in Maldon which left him with serious knife wounds.
TWO men are today due to appear before magistrates following an assault on a 61-year-old man in Maldon which left him with serious knife wounds.
The man was not found until the following day and is currently in hospital in a stable condition following surgery.
Shane Hawes, 25, from Mell Road, Tollesbury, has been charged with attempted murder. Nicholas Hills, 18, of Rochford Garden Way, Rochford, has been charged with GBH and burglary.
Both are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court following the incident at Fullbridge Quay on Tuesday, October 13.
A third man, also 18 and from Rochford, remains in police custody and will be further questioned about his involvement.
