A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital following a road accident in Felixstowe today.Police and ambulance crews were called to Hamilton Road at around 12.
PART of the main road through Felixstowe's busy town centre was closed for a short time after a car knocked over a pedestrian.
A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital following the road accident, which happened in Hamilton Road outside the British Heart Foundation's shop, opposite the Halifax Bank.
A police spokeswoman said the accident happened around 12.49pm yesterday. A red Peugeot 306 collided with the pedestrian, who was taken for treatment at Ipswich Hospital complaining of hip pain. The road was reopened at 1.30pm.
