A pedestrian aged in her 60s is in hospital after a collision involving a red Mercedes-Benz in Ipswich today.

The incident took place at the junction of Anglesea Road and Henley Road at 1.30pm.

Police said the woman suffered a suspected broken ankle and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers have spoken to the driver of the Mercedes. No action has been taken.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to call police on 101.
