Animal charity the Blue Cross is joining in the royal wedding celebrations, by holding a fundraising tea party.
The royal-themed event will be held at Blue Cross Suffolk on May 12, ahead of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19, in aid of the charity’s Paws for Tea campaign.
The team at the Blue Cross rehoming centre, on Bourne Hill in Wherstead, Ipswich, will serve tea and cake for a small donation. There will also be face-painting and children’s craft activities, a second-hand pet goods stall and guided tours of the rehoming centre.
Centre manager Karina Grimwade said: “Our tea party will be a fun day for all the family and is a wonderful opportunity for children to come dressed as their favourite princesses or princes. All money raised from our Paws for Tea tea party will help Blue Cross to help even more pets.”
Local pet-lovers are also being invited to host their own tea parties for needy pets at Blue Cross.
