Police cars and paramedics sent to Ipswich’s Princes Street over concerns for man’s welfare

Three police cars and an ambulance officer were spotted in Princes Street this afternoon following concerns raised by members of the public.

Officers were sent to the scene, close to the road’s junction with Portman Road, shortly after 5.20pm today.

They were responding to concerns for a man’s welfare.

A police officer at the scene said the situation was under control and confirmed the force were sent following calls from members of the public.

A police spokesman said: “It was a concern about a vulnerable individual nearby.”
