THREE members of a gang arrested after a police car chase were today due in court charged with burglary at a Felixstowe seafront hotel.

David Reed and Jason Canning were detained by police after a car crashed into a bollard in a one-way street in Ipswich. A third person – Paul Fleet – was arrested at the hotel and a fourth is being sought after leaving the scene of the accident.

Officers started following a Rover Metro after it was spotted acting suspiciously on the A1156 road at Nacton at about 8.15am yesterday.

The car was being driven erratically and police tracked the vehicle from Nacton into the outskirts of Ipswich but it would not stop.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a bollard in Holbrook Road.
