Emergency services have been called to an incident in Warren Heath in Ipswich after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man in the area.
A police spokeswoman confirmed a man has been taken to Ipswich Hospital.
She said: “We were called just after 1pm today by a member of the public who had reported concern for a man seen in the Woodrush Road area.
“Police officers, fire and ambulance are attending the scene.
“A man has been taken to Ipswich Hospital.
“If anyone has seen anything in the area at the time of the incident, please call Suffolk police on 101 quoting CAD 197 of today.”
In an update shortly before 6pm, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said the man remains in a critical care unit at Ipswich Hospital. The force spokesman said police were currently in the process of informing his next of kin.
