POLICE are today appealing for information after a woman was indecently assaulted by two men claiming to be taxi drivers.

The incident happened at about 11.20pm on Friday after the 24-year-old had dropped her friend off at a nightclub.

She was then dropped off in Commercial Road, Ipswich, where she sat on a wall and called her boyfriend from her mobile phone.

A short while later she was approached by two men who asked her whether she needed a lift, claiming they were taxi drivers.

The woman agreed and she got in her vehicle, which was parked nearby.

But she became concerned when she saw they were driving in the wrong direction. She asked them to stop, but they continued driving and spoke to each other in a foreign language.

When the victim struggled to get out of the vehicle, while it was still moving, one of the men grabbed her and prevented her from doing so.

During the ordeal, she was indecently assaulted by one of the men.

The victim was eventually driven along London Road, where she was dropped off near to Burlington Road. Officers found the woman in London Road and helped her.

The two men are described as being of eastern European apperance, aged between 25 and 30-years-old and both had dark wavy.
