DETECTIVES in Ipswich are hunting distraction burglars who targeted an elderly man in the town today.At about 10.25am a man entered the home of a 75-year-old man in Bramford Road via an unlocked back door.
DETECTIVES in Ipswich are hunting distraction burglars who targeted an elderly man in the town today.
At about 10.25am a man entered the home of a 75-year-old man in Bramford Road, near the junction with Yarmouth Road, via an unlocked back door.
The man told the victim he was doing a job outside and he gestured towards the back garden.
While he had the pensioner's attention, a second man entered the house and searched upstairs.
Nothing is believed to have been stolen.
The first man is described as white, 6ft 3in and of stocky build.
He spoke with an Irish accent and wore a dark three-quarter length jacket and dark trousers.
The second man, who the victim saw leaving via the front door, is described as white, 6ft 4in and of thin build.
He also wore a dark three-quarter length jacket.
